xegen: full, server-ready game worlds in about a minute

A map seed is a promise: type these numbers, cross your fingers, find out what you got after the server boots. xegen is the opposite. It generates the whole world - terrain, biomes, points of interest, trader placement - renders it so you can see exactly what you're getting, and hands you a file you drop straight into a dedicated server. About a minute, start to finish.

Seeds tell you nothing. xegen shows you everything.

Vanilla random generation gives you a seed and a wait. You can't tell a great map from a dud until you've already loaded it onto the server and walked it. xegen flips the order: it builds the full world up front and renders it three ways so you can judge it before you commit - then exports a clean, server-ready world folder.

What it produces

xegen top-down 2D map render with POIs, trader positions in red, biome boundaries and contour lines
Top-down 2D render with POIs, trader positions (red), biome boundaries and contour lines. A sample world: 4,086 POIs, 5 traders, 85.8 MB - all visible before download.

Because the preview quantifies the world - POI count, trader count, file size - you're choosing a map on evidence, not on a lucky seed. Don't like the trader spread or the biome split? Regenerate and look again. The whole loop is about a minute.

Which games

xegen powers the world generators on this site. Each one is free, runs in the browser, and exports a drop-in server world:

How it works

  1. Pick a game generator and set the basics (size, options).
  2. xegen builds the world on a worker and renders the 3D + 2D previews - about a minute.
  3. Eyeball the previews and the numbers. Regenerate until you're happy.
  4. Download the server-ready world and drop it into your dedicated server.

No client install, no accounts, nothing to clean up afterwards. If you'd rather skip the server setup entirely, Supercraft hosts these games with the world already loaded - online 24/7, auto-updates, daily backups.
