Minecraft Pixel Art Generator

Upload an image, choose a width in blocks, and get a block-by-block map plus a material list of exactly how many of each block to gather. Uses a curated palette of concrete, wool, and terracotta. Everything runs in your browser - your image is never uploaded.

Upload an image to begin. Tip: simple, high-contrast images convert best.

Blocks needed: 0

How to build it in-game

  1. Upload an image and set a width (64 is a good starting point). The tool downscales it and maps each pixel to the nearest block.
  2. Check the material list - it tells you how many of each block to gather before you start.
  3. Build on a flat wall or floor, working row by row from the grid. Concrete gives the cleanest, most saturated colours.

The palette is full-colour, flat blocks (concrete, wool, terracotta) because they read clearly from a distance. Everything is computed locally - your image stays on your device.

Building a big mural on a server?

Large pixel art is a great group/server project. The tool is free and needs no account; if you need somewhere to host the world, Supercraft is one option among many.
