Minecraft Hex Gradient Generator
Type text, pick a start and end color, and get a smooth RGB gradient as 1.16+ hex codes with a live preview - for fancy server names, MOTDs, titles, and signs. Copy the raw codes or a server.properties-escaped version. Runs in your browser.
How it works
Java 1.16+ supports full RGB text. Each character is coloured with the section-x hex format - the section sign, x, then the six hex digits each prefixed by a section sign. This tool interpolates a colour for every character between your stops and writes the codes, so a gradient that would take ages by hand is one copy. Add a middle colour for a three-stop blend.
Use the escaped output for a server MOTD (each section sign becomes its unicode escape so colours apply); use raw for books, signs, item names, and plugins that accept the section sign directly. Vanilla chat does not let players type these, but commands and configs do.
Branding a server?
A gradient name or MOTD makes a server pop in the list. The tool is free and needs no account; if you need somewhere to host it, Supercraft is one option among many. Pair it with our MOTD generator.
