Safe 7 Days to Die Modpacks

Ranked starting points for servers that should boot cleanly first and grow carefully. Each suggestion points into a deployable recipe or a compatibility tool.

#1

Chill PvE Vanilla

A no-overhaul 7 Days to Die server baseline for friends: vanilla config, easier difficulty, longer days, and no risky overhaul stacking.

Best for: Groups that want to start playing first and add modlets only after the world is stable.

Includes

  • Vanilla serverconfig.xml baseline
  • Small-group PvE defaults
  • Generated-world compatible GameWorld setting
  • Mod checker path for later additions

Safety notes

  • Start with no overhaul mods, then add one mod family at a time.
  • Run the folder list through the checker after every Mods/ change.
  • Keep overhaul packs separate from XML tweak modlets until tested.

Avoid

  • Darkness Falls and Undead Legacy together
  • Multiple overhaul packs in one save
  • Unknown dependency folders renamed by hand
