V Rising: Servant Gear Cost Calculator
Servants only read gear level - so max-gearing them is pure logistics. Pick how many servants you are gearing to level 91 and get the complete bill: what to craft, what to farm, and what to just loot instead, down to the last pollen.
Loot instead of craft - checked items land on the farm list with where to get them (uncheck to see the true craft-everything cost)

Why "just craft it" explodes
The servant loadout looks tame until you expand it. Four Dracula pieces need 144 Pristine Leather - that is 2,880 Mutant Grease and 2,880 Pristine Hide if you craft every one. The Ghost Yarn chain wants Wool Thread at 48 Pollen each; crafted Cloth walks down the leather chain to 16 Rugged Hide per Leather; a single Whetstone eats 144 Stone. This calculator reproduces the totals the community spreadsheet verified by hand, then does what a spreadsheet cannot: lets you toggle each item between "craft it" and "loot it" and watch the bill collapse to the realistic farm.
Blood quality does not change any of this - it sets expertise (half the blood percent), which scales hunt proficiency on top of gear level. Gear the roster once, then feed it diverse blood types: same-type hunt perks do not stack.

FAQ
What exactly is the gear level 91 servant loadout?
An Epic (or Legendary - same gear level) Ancestral weapon at 30, any four Dracula's set pieces at 9 each - Shadow, Grim, Dread and Maleficer variants all cost the same, pick any - and gear level 25 jewelry. The Blood Key is the cheapest repeatable 25; the six Tier 8 amulets tie it. Soul Shards also count 25 but are unique boss drops, not craftable.
Is the Ancestral weapon worth it for servants?
It is +4 gear level over a Sanguine (30 vs 26), and the shard is a 5% drop from level 79+ V Bloods or 1,500 Greater Stygian Shards at the Mortium merchant. For hunt-proficiency breakpoints those 4 levels are 40 proficiency - use the weapon dropdown to see both bills and decide per servant.
Where do the blood essence numbers come from?
The loadout embeds 9 Primal Blood Essence (armour tiers, the Dark Silver weapon and the Blood Key). On the essence route that is 72 Greater Blood Essence = 14,400 raw Blood Essence per servant; on the hearts route it collapses to 36 Exquisite Hearts. The toggle switches the whole chain, matching how people actually play (V Blood hunting yields hearts anyway).
Does this include hunt planning?
No - this page is the gearing bill. Blood type and mission planning are a different problem; the short version is in the blood note above: diversify types, maximize quality.
What is the max gear level for servants in V Rising?
Gear level 91, the same as players: an Epic or Legendary Ancestral weapon (30) + four Dracula's set armour pieces (9 each) + gear level 25 jewelry such as the Blood Key or a Tier 8 amulet. Servants have no cape or headgear slot, but neither contributes gear level, so 91 is the true servant cap. With a craftable Sanguine weapon instead of the Ancestral upgrade a servant reaches 87.
Do secondary stats and set bonuses matter on servant gear?
No. Servants read only the gear level of each equipped item - secondary stats, durability and set bonuses are ignored, including the +1 gear level 4-piece bonus on tier 4-8 sets. That means the cheapest item at a given gear level is always the right servant pick, which is exactly what this calculator optimizes for.
How many servants can I have?
It scales with Castle Heart level: 3 servants at heart level 1, then 5, 6, 7, and 8 at heart level 5 (Duo PvP servers cap lower: 2/3/4/5/5). Each servant needs a Servant Coffin, 100 Blood Essence and a 20-minute conversion (10 on a Crypt floor), and hunts are commanded from the Castle Throne.
Why does the full-craft bill show thousands of pollen and stone?
Because a few innocent-looking inputs hide brutal chains: every Wool Thread is 4 Coarse Thread = 48 Pollen, every Whetstone eats 144 Stone through Stone Dust, and Cloth crafted from scratch walks down the leather chain to 16 Rugged Hide per Leather. In practice you loot or buy most of those - the calculator's loot toggles show both realities honestly, which is also why its craft-everything numbers match the community-verified spreadsheet totals.
Does servant blood type or quality change the gearing cost?
No - blood changes who you Dominate, not what you craft. Quality sets expertise (half the blood percentage) which boosts the servant's health, power and hunt proficiency; blood type reduces the difficulty of matching hunt locations. Gear cost is identical for every servant, so convert high-quality, type-diverse humans and gear them with this exact same bill.
Do castle room bonuses reduce the cost?
Yes: a station in an enclosed room with the matching floor crafts at 75% material cost, rounded up per ingredient (quantities of 1-2 never shrink). The calculator's room-bonus toggle applies exactly that rule across the whole chain - it typically saves around a quarter of the raw grind.
