Factorio modpack doctor: 2.0 to 2.1
Paste your mod-list.json. For every mod, this asks the official mod portal
whether a release exists for the branch you are moving to, and tells you which ones would
stop your server before you touch it.
Why this is not "just change the version". Factorio treats 2.0 and 2.1 as
different major mod versions. A mod declaring "factorio_version": "2.0" does not
load under 2.1 however compatible its Lua happens to be: the author has to publish for the new
branch. And the move is one way, because a save opened in 2.1 can never go back to 2.0.
What each verdict means
- Ready. The author has published a release declaring your target branch, and the version and date are shown so you can see how fresh it is.
- No release. The mod exists on the portal but has nothing for that branch. This is the one that stops a server, and the list shows which branches it does support.
- Unknown. Not on the portal, which is normal for a private or hand-written mod. Nothing can be concluded automatically, so it is never counted as a pass.
- Ships with the game. base, space-age, quality and elevated-rails move with the branch and are never missing.
