ARK Server Settings Generator

Build a complete ARK: Survival Ascended config without hand-editing INI files. Set your rates, breeding multipliers, and PvP/PvE rules below, then copy a ready GameUserSettings.ini, Game.ini, and the launch line. The ASA gotchas - the _WP map suffix, -WinLiveMaxPlayers, and ServerAdminPassword ordering - are handled for you. Runs entirely in your browser.

Quick presets:
Server identity
Access & RCON
Rates
Breeding & imprint

Imprint settings interact: big maturation boosts without lowering the cuddle interval can make a full imprint impossible. See the breeding guide linked below.

Gameplay & PvP
Day cycle & saving
Message of the day
Advanced (Game.ini)

For raising the player/dino level cap you also need the LevelExperienceRampOverrides array - that is its own topic, see the level-cap guide linked below.

Launch line

GameUserSettings.ini

Game.ini

How to use it

  1. Start from a preset (Vanilla, Casual PvE, Boosted PvP, Hardcore) or set every value by hand.
  2. Copy GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini into your server's ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ folder, replacing the matching sections.
  3. Use the launch line as your start command. ServerAdminPassword is placed last on purpose, and -WinLiveMaxPlayers matches your player cap.
  4. Restart the server. Most rate changes apply on the next boot; some can be live-edited over RCON.

The ASA-specific traps this handles

  • Map names use _WP (World Partition) on ASA - TheIsland_WP, not the old TheIsland.
  • ServerAdminPassword must be the last ?-argument or it swallows everything after it.
  • The player cap is the -WinLiveMaxPlayers flag, not MaxPlayers in the INI alone.
  • Mods are CurseForge numeric IDs via -mods=, not Steam Workshop IDs.

Running an ARK server?

This generator is free and needs no account. If you would rather not touch INI files at all, a managed ARK: Survival Ascended server at Supercraft surfaces every option here as a panel field and applies it without a manual restart - but the config above works on any host.
